Sometimes, you just want to take a quiet walk by yourself, to contemplate the universe for a moment. Sometimes you end up in a reverse paparazzi situation, chased down the street by dozens of children who want their photos taken. I think there was a moment a few days ago when I figured out the meaning of existence.
Then I lost it.
It’s probably still down an alleyway off M. Dela Cruz Street. That’s a safer location for it anyway.
If you wanna stroll through real-life Manila, here’s a good loop.
You can combine visiting the cemetery, wandering these streets and then take in an early evening, 6pm cockfight at the Pasay City Cockpit Arena, which is directly behind the cemetery. Nothing caps off a full day like roosters with razor blades on their ankles. I think i read that on a coffee cup somewhere?

These children are adorable & your pictures are great! What kind of camera do you use?
Thanks so much Mary Jane! I use a nikon D7000. Although, it’s sometimes more about your lens. This is a wide-angle Tokina 12 to 28mm that i really like for street shots.
How are things??
That sounds like a zoom lens to me!!!
Annie …. BWAHAHAHAHHA. Shhhhhh.
I love ALL of these photos, I think they are superb.
Thanks! Appreciate that Ana!
